This beautiful 870 gram stone has an interesting history. It was seen to fall and break the branch off of an orange tree. Robert Haag bought it from the finder and it is pictured in his 1985 catalog. It was then sold to a private collector named Bruce Wegmann. Bruce told me he was visiting H.H. Nininger in Denver shortly after it fell. Nininger heard the news and said he wished he could see a piece. Wegmann then pulled out this stone and let Nininger hold it. Nininger died only a week later.
