Roy (L5)

The Roy meteorite was identified by Nininger during his 1933-34 survey of the Pasamonte fireball in NE New Mexico. It was originally found by Fidel Landfer a local farmer, who proceeded to smash the beautifully pitted stone in search of precious metals.

This is a 60.4 gram slice with original Nininger number and label from the AML.
