Hamlet fell on October 15, 1959 in Indiana. Two specimens were recovered. Hamlet no. 1 (weighing 2,045g) struck the Hall residence where it smashed the rain gutter, tearing it loose from the roof. Hamlet no. 2 (weighing 1,666g) was recovered about 0.4 km from the site of the first find but 4 years later. This 13 gram partial slice was acquired through trade with Texas Christian University. Originally was removed from Arizona State University specimen #1194. Deaccessioned from the Mile High Meteorites Collection.
